Dr. Morris received his medical degree from the University of Alabama Birmingham where he also completed his residency in 1996. Following an extensive residency program in general surgery, orthopaedic surgery (1987-1996) and research, was a Fellow in Foot and Ankle Surgery at Baylor University in Dallas, Texas, under the direction of James Brodsky, M.D., and at the University of Texas, Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas (Parkland) under the direction of John S. Early, M.D. before joining OrthoSports Associates.
In 1999 he received his certification from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is a fellow in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Orthopaedic foot and Ankle Society.
Dr. Morris, his wife, and family live in the Birmingham area where they are very active in their school and church. Dr. Morris has published several articles involving his specialty interest, treating all types of adult and adolescent foot and ankle disorders.
