Victoria R. Masear, MD is board certified in orthopaedic surgery and fellowship trained in hand surgery. Dr. Masear is a prolific speaker and writer with more than thirty papers to her credit. Many national, regional and state professional associations have sought Dr. Masear’s expertise in orthopaedics for the development of various policy and treatment standards.
From 1990 – 1994 she served as Division Chair in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Alabama – Birmingham. She also served as the University’s Director of Microsurgery, Hand Fellowship, and Associate Professor. Dr. Masear received her Bachelor’s of Science in Biology and Chemistry from MacMurray College in Jacksonville, Illinois, where she excelled as a student-athlete lettering in women’s field hockey, softball and basketball. She then received her Doctor of Medicine from Southern Illinois University.
Dr. Masear practices at OrthoSports Associates Hoover Trace Crossings office. Her caring nature and attention to detail are some of the reasons why her patients love her and the excellent results she achieves.
Dr. Masear lives in the Birmingham area with her husband and children. She enjoys the outdoors and spending time with her family.
